Camp Location:

Camp will be held at Episcopal High School, 1200 North Quaker Lane, Alexandria, VA 22302 (enter campus from Braddock Road ).

Founded in 1839, Episcopal High School's athletic facilities rank among the finest of any high school in the Mid-Atlantic region. The 130-acre campus includes eight playing fields, including two new turf fields. The campus' pastoral setting is enhanced by access to all the resources of the Washington, DC area. Check in time is Wednesday June 11 from 9:30-11:15 a.m. at the Flippin Field House. Camp Meeting on the field at 11:30 a.m. Camp ends at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13.

If arriving after check in times, please call Kathy Jenkins at 703-283-8983 or Hope Rhoads at 703-909-9372 to let them know your expected arrival so someone can meet you and check you in.

 

Travel and Transportation

Episcopal High School is five miles from Reagan National Airport (DCA) and about one hour from Baltimore-Washington International (BWI)Airport and Dulles International Airport (IAD). By car, the driving time from: New York City, NY is 4 hours,  from: Philadelphia, PA 3 hours, Wilmington, DE 2 hours, Baltimore, MD 1 hour, Richmond, VA 2 hours, Norfolk, VA 3 hours, and Raleigh, NC 4.5 hours. 

We will be glad to provide transportation to camp from DCA and the Amtrak Station in Alexandria, VA. There is a fee for this service which varies depending on travel requirements (parking, location, etc.)  and is payable by cash or Venmo. If you have a transportation request, please fill out this TRANSPORTATION NEEDED FORM. From Points North via Interstate 270

Interstate 270 intersects with the Capital Beltway(I-495). Take I-495 toward Virginia.Exit I-495 at the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Follow the Parkway to I-395 South.After passing signs marked Shirlington and Quaker Lane, take the Rt. 7 (King Street) East and West exit.Follow signs to Rt. 7 East.Follow King Street East to the fourth traffic light and turn right onto North Quaker Lane. From Points South on Interstate 95 Northbound

From Washington on Interstate 395 Southbound

After passing signs marked Shirlington and Quaker Lane, take the Rt. 7 (King Street) East and West exit.Follow signs to Rt. 7 East.Follow King Street East to the fourth traffic light and turn right onto North Quaker Lane.Go through one traffic light on North Quaker Lane and half a block to Episcopal's entrance gate on the right.From Points North via Interstate 95 SouthboundFollow I-95 South to I-495 (Capital Beltway) toward Virginia.After crossing the Wilson Bridge, get into the right lane.Take Exit 176B to the right, marked Telegraph Road, North-Alexandria.Get in the middle lane to cloverleaf down to Rt. 236 West (Duke Street).Once on Duke Street, headed west, go through five traffic lights quite close together.At the fifth traffic light, turn right onto North Quaker Lane.Go through one traffic light and pass the Virginia Theological Seminary on the left.Look for Episcopal's fence on the left (large brick columns separated by black wrought iron). The entrance gate will be on your left.

From Points West via Interstate 66

Follow I-66 to the intersection of I-495.Take the Richmond/Alexandria (I-495) exit off I-66.Follow I-495 to left exit to I-395 North.Exit I-395 North at Rt. 7 (King Street) East and West exit.Follow signs to Rt. 7 East.Once on Rt. 7 East, go to the fourth traffic light and turn right onto North Quaker Lane. Go through one traffic light on North Quaker Lane and half a block to Episcopal's entrance gate on the right.
